An Extraordinary Guide Who Turned Our Ireland Vacation into the Trip of a Lifetime
From the moment he picked us up in Dublin until he dropped us off at Clontarf Castle, Gregory was absolutely exceptional. He was far more than a driver; he was a professional guide, historian, travel strategist, concierge, storyteller and photographer.
What impressed us immediately was his preparation. Gregory had clearly done his homework well before we ever arrived. He understood exactly what our interests were and tailored the itinerary around what our family would enjoy most. Every day flowed effortlessly because Gregory had already anticipated traffic patterns, tour times, weather and crowd levels.
At the Cliffs of Moher, Gregory knew exactly where to drop us off, how to avoid the massive tour bus congestion, where to begin our hike, and how to leave by taking the scenic northern route through the Burren. Instead of spending hours sitting in traffic, we spent that time exploring one of Ireland’s most spectacular landscapes.
He introduced us to places we never would have found ourselves, including Sally Gap and Lough Tay, hidden viewpoints throughout Wicklow National Park, Powerscourt Gardens and Distillery, Kilkenny Castle, Blarney Castle, Kinsale, Bunratty Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, the Wild Atlantic Way and Dunguaire Castle overlooking Galway Bay.
Every morning he arrived early, the vehicle was spotless, and the day was organised without ever feeling rushed. If we wanted extra time somewhere, Gregory adjusted. If we wanted to stop for photos or take a scenic detour, he knew exactly where to go.
Gregory is incredibly knowledgeable about Ireland’s history, culture, geography and people. Yet he never overwhelms you with information. Conversations happened naturally throughout the drive, making even the longer travel days enjoyable and educational.
Simply put, Gregory is one of the best tour guides I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. I have travelled extensively throughout Europe, North America and beyond, and I can say without hesitation that Gregory belongs in the absolute top tier of professional guides.

We booked two fabulous tours with Claddagh. First was a Game of Thrones tour from Dublin, which was fantastic. Gregory was amazing to deal with, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Communication was great, and he really went out of his way to make it a perfect day.
We also did the Ring of Kerry with Brian, who was also great! Such a fun day, and he let us customize the day and also had good suggestions for us.
Overall, we highly recommend Claddagh Tours.

2 of us, senior women, needed a driver tour guide, door to door, from Dublin to Cork. Gregory, with his luxury Mercedes van, complete with bottled water and fruit, despite some rain, provided the sunshine with his wit, wisdom and expert driving.
We visited the Irish National Stud and Japanese Garden in Mountmellick to trace the roots of our deceased Irish mother, enjoyed a lovely lunch en route, took in views of the Rock of Cashel, and were safely delivered to our hotel in Cork.

We used Claddagh Tours to support a two-day corporate event for our international team visiting Ireland, and we could not have been happier with the service.
Claddagh Tours and their team were incredibly professional throughout, handling multiple transfers across both days, including airport pickups, daily runs between Maynooth and Leixlip, and onward trips into Dublin city centre.
Every request was accommodated without hesitation and the whole operation ran like clockwork. It really took the stress out of logistics and allowed us to focus fully on the event.

Gregory is an amazing guide and driver, very knowledgeable. I took a private tour with him in Wicklow, and he took me to wonderful film locations, including the bridge featured in P.S. I Love You. He also shared interesting stories about the area and its history.
He drives very safely and has excellent recommendations. He knows where to find beautiful scenery, great food, and hidden gems throughout Ireland. Gregory is punctual, professional, and friendly, and he is someone you can have interesting conversations with throughout the day.
